Common questions
NUST admits on an aggregate, not on the NET score by itself. Your NET percentage carries 75% of it, your HSSC 15% and your SSC 10%. A full paper is 200 questions, so 160 of them right, with 85 in HSSC and 88 in SSC, is an aggregate of 81.6. Results, the calculator and the sliders above all run that one function.
NUST released the 2026 closing positions and not the closing aggregates behind them, so every closing figure here is estimated rather than published. Each is read off 216 candidates’ own reports of the aggregate they scored and the merit position it gave them, taken from two r/NUST 2026 merit megathreads and fitted separately for computing and engineering, since a merit position is a rank inside one school. The reports are self-declared and none was checked against a result card, the sample is partial, and they are read at the 8th merit list, which later lists close below. The 2024 published closings sit beside every estimate so the move since then is visible rather than implied, and cleared means the estimate plus 2, the margin candidates expect year on year.

No. A wrong answer scores what an untouched one scores, which is zero, so a question you are unsure of costs nothing to attempt and a blank gains nothing. What the paper does hold you to is the clock: 200 questions in 180 minutes, with no calculator. It runs only while the paper is on screen, so closing the tab stops it and opening the paper again picks it up where it stopped.
It puts NUST’s own navigation limits on the paper: no question grid, no jumping from the progress strip, and an answer saved explicitly before you move on, with flagging held until that save. Off, a paper is a practice tool you can walk in any order and change your mind on. It is a switch in setup and a default in settings, and it changes nothing about how the paper is drawn or marked.
Your papers, your attempt history and your marks are written to this browser and nowhere else, and there is no account to make. Submitting a paper also sends one anonymous record, which is what the cohort figures are built from: the kind of paper, the score, the section split, and one row per question saying whether it was right, wrong or skipped and how long it took. It carries no name, no account, no device or session id, and the time on it is rounded to the hour, so two papers from one browser cannot be told apart from two papers from two. Privacy writes out every field of it. Clearing the browser’s data clears your own attempts, which is why settings carries an export.
